Poynter's Culture

Standing by our mission to “Achieve excellence as leaders in the industry and community through continuous improvement,” Poynter works daily to build our future generations through continued education and mentorship. As industry leaders, we believe in the value of taking what our experienced employees have learned and passing it on to some of our less experienced or up-and-coming employees. What once would take years of industry experience to learn has been consolidated into a program with five modules that we use to teach our new employees. 83% of people who participated in this class are now foremen or are still foremen. This statistic is a testament to the program and its effectiveness. At Poynter, we believe it’s important to train and retain great people.
